Sometimes you just need a The Walking Dead project. This is a simple project that can be used. I make these shirts my running shirts.
All of the supplies were bought at Walmart.
Take the clothing items and apply the stickers to them.
Put freezer paper wax size away from the spray area.
Spray the shirts with the fabric paint. You'll see I am using a homemade spray, but I don't recommend that. Walmart sells a stencil spray that I love. You'll see why.
Let the shirts dry completely. After they are dry, remove the stickers.
I like to dry them on high heat for an hours, and then wash them in a cool water wash with salt to set the ink.
This is the third time I have made this project. The first time I used a prepared spray and they were fabulous. The second time, my spray was too thick, and I clogged the bottle beyond repair. This time, The spray was too thin, and I had bleed through from the underside. It is more of a light shade on dark effect.
I have a niece who is quite the "Walker Warrior," so I made the a shirt. I bought the preprepared spray, and look at the difference.
I used the same process, just a different paint.
Happy shirt making, and be sure to post your shirts in the comments.
